A Brief History of WEDOS.global

WEDOS originally started as a small European domain registrar and hosting company. As it grew, so did the volume and strength of cyber attacks against it.
These attacks revealed a problem. No matter how strong our defenses were, when the attackers gathered from all around the world to target one single server, they would overwhelm it.
So we thought, what if we could stop the attackers before they are able to combine their attacks on a single point? And if they do overwhelm one server, what if we had a backup ready to go?
And so we developed a system that could do just that. Our defensive system, built on resilient physical servers, now spans the entire world. Concentrating in areas with the most traffic or with a high frequency of attacks.
And that was just the beginning. There’s so much more we can do with a robust infrastructure like this. We can deliver content from the nearest point of presence, provide a reliable VPN service, and so much more. There is a lot we already do, and our plans are even more ambitious.
